VENDO PARK banks on tailored retail mix

Mülheim an der Ruhr, 20th October 2016 – Occupying 3,550 m² of space, offering 127 parking spots and 8 retailers, and taking nearly seven months to complete – this is the VENDO PARK broken down to its fundamental numbers. The centres were opened in Zlaté Moravce today by Trei Real Estate GmbH, the real estate subsidiary belonging to the Tengelmann Group. Behind these numbers is the fourth location of the VENDO PARK chain of specialist retail centres operating in Slovakia – and a transnational retail park concept that Trei Real Estate has been pursuing with great success.

“Each of these specialist retail centres is unique,” says Pepijn Morshuis, Managing Director at Trei Real Estate, explaining the brand’s formula for success.  “Our custom mix of national and international retail chains allows us to accommodate the needs and requirements of our customers at their location. This is an objective to which we attach superior importance.” A concept that is exceptionally well-received by the tenants: Just like its predecessors, the twelfth VENDO PARK has already found tenants for all of its outlets before it even opened. “Demand far exceeded the spaces we had available,” confirms Michael Tauwinkl, Managing Director at Trei Real Estate in Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

The tenants of the newly opened specialist retail centre in Zlaté Moravce include such esteemed non-food retailers as Deichmann, GATE, KiK, Orion, PEPCO, PLANEO Elektro, TEDi, and Teta. Our offer is rounded off by the extensive selection sold by a nearby Kaufland SB Market outlet – a major advantage that convinced the company to pick this location. Other benefits the site has to offer include the central location of the town, the wide catchment area of the specialist retail centre, the strong spending power of the locals and the area's enormous potential for development. “Even though the number of retail park projects increases along with the number of competitors on the Slovakian market, we could not be happier as we have found the perfect location for this new branch,” explains Michael Tauwinkl. Further VENDO PARKS are scheduled to follow: “When looking at Slovakia we still see more room and potential for realising an even larger number of specialist retail centres.”
