TREI Real Estate proceeds with construction of student apartments

Mülheim an der Ruhr, May 18, 2015– TREI Real Estate GmbH, the real estate subsidiary of the Tengelman Group, has reached the next milestone in the construction of a student apartment complex in Köln-Ehrenfeld. Following issuance of the building permit on 30 April 2015, the demolition work on the existing building at Melatengürtel 113-115 has begun - the beginning of construction is planned for late summer. Köln-Ehrenfeld is a favourite area of residence for students and it offers ideal conditions for our newly developed concept, so we are pleased with the continuous progress of our construction project,' said Pepijn Morshuis, CEO of TREI Real Estate GmbH.


The new buildings at the Köln-Ehrenfeld location will feature an attractive green courtyard and 152 housing units with an area of about 20 m² each. The design-oriented apartments will be fully furnished, and common areas, such as study rooms, a lobby, a lounge, and a grill area will add to the modern flair of the apartment complex and offer students space to unwind and mingle. There will also be 54 underground parking spaces, covered bicycle parking, and lockable storage areas on the basement level.
