Trei Opens its 16th Vendo Park in Poland

Trei Real Estate GmbH (“Trei”), a developer and asset holder for residential and retail real estate, just opened the 16th retail park of its Vendo Park format in Poland. The retail park is located in the town of Jawor in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The property has a gross lettable area of around 6,700 square metres and is tenant-occupied by eleven different retailers. The total investment costs add up to 8.7 million euros. Jawor has a population of around 23,000 and lies roughly 25 kilometres south of Legnica.

Pepijn Morshuis, CEO of Trei Real Estate, said: “Our market analysis clearly shows that the demand for retail venues in smaller towns with populations of around 20,000 continues to be underestimated. We carefully align the tenant mix with the actual needs of the local population to ensure that our offer is the one that best serves regional demand.”

In addition to eleven retail units, the new Vendo Park provides 200 parking spots. Its anchor tenant is Biedronka, the largest Polish supermarket chain, with a footprint of 1,100 square metre. Other retailers hosted by the Vendo Park include a pastry shop, four apparel stores (KIK, Martes Sport, Sinsay and Pepco), a non-food discount store (Action), a consumer electronics store (Media Expert), a drugstore (Hebe) and a book store (Empik).

Trei currently owns 25 Vendo Parks in Europe, 16 of them in Poland. In the course of 2020, the company is planning to open another six retail parks in Poland.
