Düsseldorf-Lohausen has a new shopping focus

Mülheim an der Ruhr, November 21, 2013 – Düsseldorf-Lohausen is getting a new focus for daily shopping at 84 Niederrheinstraße today. Kaiser’s Tengelmann and Fressnapf are the current tenants of the approx. 2,700 sqm retail space, and are soon to be joined by Rossmann.

TREI Real Estate GmbH, the owner of the property, is equally pleased about the opening of the centre. Urban Plattes, CEO of TREI Real Estate, expressed satisfaction with the mix of tenants: “These three well-known brands provide an extensive product range for daily shopping needs. The combination of fresh food supermarket, drugstore and pet supplies shop in one place offers customers the perfect shopping amenity."

Convenient shopping is guaranteed: the central location in Lohausen is well connected to public transport, plus there are around 90 parking spaces available to customers. A further attraction is that the industrial petrol station, which is located on the grounds of the shopping centre and is a listed building, is conceptually integrated with the centre in order to remind customers of its historical use. There is one difference to earlier times, however: it is no longer petrol that flows, but rather green energy. While they are shopping, Kaiser's customers can refuel their electric cars and e-bikes for free with sustainably generated electricity. Detailed information can be found at www.emobil-nrw.de.

Kaiser’s and Tengelmann supermarkets represent high quality standards and an extensive fresh product concept. With more than 1,300 sqm, the new Kaiser's supermarket offers the residents of Lohausen almost twice as much retail space than they have had up to now. This allows the branch's team to offer its customers an even wider range of fresh products such as ripe fruit and crunchy vegetables as well as fish, meat and cheese specialities. In addition to the large selection of specialities and brand-name products, customers can find a wide variety of own-brand products from the A&P, Star Marke and the organic Naturkind ranges.

The pet product retailer Fressnapf is at the service of all dog, cat and other animal lovers with a retail space of around 700 sqm. Shopping becomes a true experience in the state-of-the-art shop design in Lohausen, with its wide aisles, bright colours and clear arrangement of products according to animal species. Dogs and other animals are always welcome. This underscores Fressnapf’s mission: to be a competent adviser making the coexistence of humans and animals easier, better and happier.

The Rossmann branch, which is currently located around 150 m away on the opposite side of the street, will shortly move into a larger space in the shopping centre. This space will not be converted for Rossmann until after the Kaiser’s supermarket has moved out. When it has moved into the generously sized retail space of 650 sqm, the Rossmann team will offer customers the extensive range of products that they have become accustomed to, including stationery, household goods and toys as well as drugstore items.
